Engineers Without Borders New Zealand

Marketing and External Relations Director - Volunteer

EWBNZ is a new and growing not-for-profit organisation with the mission of 'empowering those in need through the provision of engineering aid'. We work in New Zealand and the South Pacific, providing crucial engineering and technical services to communities in need. You would be joining a dynamic and enthusiastic team, to develop and implement marketing strategies in the organisation's start-up phase.

Currently there is an opportunity for a part-time Volunteer Marketing and External Relations Director within EWBNZ. The role reports to the Executive Director and is flexible, with an estimated workload of 5-10 hrs/week.

Responsibilities include ensuring EWB projects and events are effectively and professionally communicated to the media and public, and building and maintaining sponsorship and funding relationships. The role will direct Marketing and External relations volunteers in EWB Chapters across Auckland and Christhurch.

The successful applicant will be self motivated with a journalistic, marketing or communications background and excellent communication skills. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the not-for-profit sector, and there is potential for the role to develop into a full-time paid position.
